1st Haircut and it was not pretty

So Cain got a haircut, I was waiting for it to get really cute but i never did, he looked like a news man from the 80's. My uncle Denny did it, he also cut my nephew Matt's hair around Thanksgiving and Matt did a wonderful job. Denny said that only 1 out of 20 act like Matt the others freak out, I should have known Cain would follow the majority. He freaked out but when it was all over he looked cute.

Cain and I

So I love comparison pictures. I am always looking at Cain and trying to see who he looks like. When he sleeps he looks like my dad, they both hang their mouth open off to the side. When he wakes up and first sees light he looks just like Chris, they both look mad at the world. Sometimes he will give you a sweet grin and you can see Chris's mom in his eyes. I wasn't really sure how much he looked like me until I got this picture in the mail from my aunt and it was kind of scary.

Long Time No Post

So everyday I think "oh I should go blog that" when Cain does something new or funny and than I don't get around to it and the fun has worn off and I forget what I was going to even blog about. The Holidays were fun but after seeing all the toys that other kids got his age, I feel like a horrible parent. We did not get him nearly enough, so this kid is going to get spoiled for his first birthday next month.
Other than his presents, he really enjoyed being around family and spending time with Chris and I. The family has been battling crud but that didn't stop us from enjoying our time together.

Even though Cain loves exploring the house he always stops and takes a break at our feet. He tries to climb up our legs and there has been a time or two that Chris and I have had our pajama pants pulled completely down.

This is one of the things Santa brought Cain, it converts to a push toy, and I thought it might help him walk more but he just enjoys opening the little hood and seeing what is inside.

You know this might drive people crazy to have their kids pull everything out of their cupboards but Chris and I actually like it. It keeps him entertained for a very long time, and he grabs out stuff that we forgot we had and needs to be tossed.

I love his cheeks

Cool Blog Christmas Card

So my sister is going green and did not want to waste paper sending out a Christmas Cards. I told her I was really disapointed because I love getting Christmas Cards in the mail. Well she made a really cool electronic Christmas card instead and I wanted to share it with the people that follow my blog to give you an idea of how it turned out. www.gilliamclan.blogspot.com

Need some Tee Pee?

Cain loves to climb up on the tiolet and knock down the toilet paper onto the floor. Well usually he forgets about it after it hits the floor but Friday morning he discovered the fun world of Tee Peeing.

I Like to Eat

So Cain loves to eat table food, he now does not want baby food at all. It is so much fun to watch him and see what he thinks of everything. We just found out yesterday that he has a double ear infection, he wouldn't drink anything but he had no problem eating tacos, ham and beans, spaghetti, and his favorite mandarine oranges.

He was really miserable on Wednesday night when we gave him Ham and Beans, we were so stressed out because we didn't know why he was upset that we forgot to put his bib on, before we knew it he had all over him. He looks like he is burping.

You can tell we are corny first time parents because we took like 10 pictures of this cheerio behind his ear. We thought it was so funny.

Recipe

So I love sharing recipes, and when I find a good and easy one that everyone likes, I usually e-mail it out to my co-workers. So today when I made this cake for our food day and everyone asked for the recipe I decided to post it so everyone could enjoy it.

Pumpkin Dump Cake

1- 29 oz can pure pumpkin
1- 12 oz can evaporated milk
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon salt
3 teaspoons cinnamon
1 box yellow cake mix
1 cup chopped peacan's (1/2 cup works)
3/4 cup melted margarine

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix first six ingredients until well blended, and pour batter into a 9x13-inch greased pan. Sprinkle cake mix on top, and then cover peacans. Pour melted margarine over top. Bake 50 minutes.
