Happy Halloween

So Maryville had trick or treating around the square tonight. There were tons of people and it was a blast to see all the other costumes. Cain and Kolton didn't eat much candy but they sure loved to eat yogurt puffs. I am already thinking about Cain can be for next year.

The Great Pumpkin Search

So after my sister Nicki and her family went on their annual pumpkin trip and my sister-in-law Brooke and our nephew Colby went to the Walley World of Pumkins, I wanted to take Cain to a pumpkin patch to get his first pumpkin. Chris kept saying "he will never remember something like that, lets just go to Hy-Vee," I told him "no, we are starting a tradition." We heard there was a place in Ravenwood so we thought we would go over there. We invited our nephew and niece Dustin and Shelby to come along with us. When we get to the place, there were 4 crates with pumkins as big as softballs. So we bought $1.00 pumpkins and headed to Hy-Vee.

Homecoming 2008

Northwest Homecoming was last Saturday, Chris and I decided to by-pass our normal Homecoming Ritual (Beer Friday Night, Beer Saturday, and Beer Saturday Night) and have good quality day as a new family. I didn't have any warm Northwest clothes for Cain to wear to so I bundled him up in Cousin Matts clothes and we were off. Cain and I went to the parade, Cain was in a daze the whole time, we really need to get this kid out more. We tailgated with a bunch of friends, and than we sat in the grass and tried to watch the game. We finished the day by watching the football game University of Texas vs. Mizzou on TV, on our neighbors patio, by a the firepit.
